Pork Shoulder or Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Grind together in a mixer bowl until the ingredients are well mixed.

Generaously apply the spice. Put in the fridge for several hours, preferably overnight.
Take the pork out of the fridge and bring them to room temperature before putting on the grill. |

Grilling …
Direct heat … high grill temperature Notes: Hickory chips … adds clean smoke flavor to the meat. |

Direct heat … 3 to 4 minutes a side
10 to 12 minutes total for smaller pieces. |

Direct heat … the larger the pork shoulder … 3 to 4 minutes a side … keep rotating around … 15 to 18 minutes until nicely browned. |

Back on the grill .. indirect heat, lowest setting.
Small shoulder … about 40 minutes Larger shoulder … about 1.5 to 2 hours. |

Pull from the grill … be sure to have a plate ready to catch from the grill … you will want to keep all those juices ! |

You can see how “pulled pork” got it’s name …
You litterally can take two forks and pull apart the meat. Serve with BBQ sauce and buns and make “pulled pork sandwiches”. |
